Responsibilities & Requirements
Responsibilities: 
• Create and curate quality content (from within and outside Edelman) for the new edelmandigital.com (to be launched by 12.01.09); you will own this site. • Facilitate knowledge aggregation and sharing across the global Edelman network: IP, client case studies, award entries, best practice approaches, etc. • Assist leadership in the development of high potential new Edelman & Edelman Digital-specific business proposals • Monitor online conversations involving and/or relevant to Edelman Digital • Surface engagement opportunities, and form smart, immediate responses to appropriate posts and threads • Build on and engage with our broad, international network of industry partners and influentials • Research and recommend initiatives to grow awareness, create new revenue streams and/or cut costs
Requirements: 
• Possess a [minimum] four year bachelors degree, with a major in journalism, business/marketing or other relevant field • Be passionate about PR, marketing, corporate communications, social media and emerging technologies • Have solid understanding of general business strategy • Understand general principles of business and marketing and the role of search, social media and word-of-mouth marketing in the communications mix • Have a strong social media footprint and be highly active and connected in online communities • Have excellent writing and interpersonal communications skills • Be proactive, highly motivated, and hungry for a career in social media/WOM Personally, • Comfortable creating and/or appearing in videos, photos and audios on behalf of the brand • Charismatic, social, intelligent, confident • Influential among their peers • Early adopter, willing to take risks • Socially and culturally “in the know” with a genuine/diverse interests and hobbies • An aware and active global citizen • The ability (and desire!) to work independently and confidently, oftentimes with very little direction
