With endless available sources for readers to learn what’s going on in the world, newspapers are still top-dog when it comes to delivering new information, a study by the Project for Excellence in journalism said Monday. Reporting that 95 percent of actual “new” information stories came from newspapers, the study supports traditional media’s argument that digital, get-it-now news mainly offers commentary and repetitive information.
