Numbers are out for newsstand sales during the second half of 2009, and boy, are they dismal. But the slide in sales may actually indicate that the worst is behind us, and sales bottomed out and can begin to regain strength, according to a Folio article today. Evidence also shows that the number of discontining titles may be returning to a normal rate as well, possibly creating a balance in the coming year so discontinued titles don’t outweigh new publications.
