While most of the 30-ish large-circulation titles achieved their rate base requirements for the second half of 2009, several big-house publications did not. Reader’s Digest, Time and Better Home & Gardens were among those who didn’t make their rate base, which generally means the publisher must provide refunds or other concessions to its advertisers. But the report wasn’t all bad news—magazines like Women’s Health and Body + Soul saw about a 20% gain from their respective rate bases. Get the numbers from Folio here.
